Targeting (Settings)
In TD, you can set up targeting for the full ad campaign or for a specific creative in particular.
Main campaign settings
To configure targeting, visit Targeting tab in the Campaign page
When setting up targets, please note that all the targets you set are based on the principle of intersecting multiple users. Do not make mutually exclusive settings. For example, when you choose a target for specific applications and set operating systems, keep in mind that applications are compatible only with mobile operating systems.
Clear campaign target settings
To clear the settings in all targets at once, select Clear all targets in the settings (Figure 2). This will delete all target settings, and the targets can be reconfigured again.
Creative’s targets
To configure target for a creative, go to the Targeting tab . You can target the creative that has already been created.
Campaign settings
Creative targets will be the same as the campaign targets by default. To disable inheritance of settings, you need to switch creative targets in edit mode and click Use custom targeting settings for creative
To inherit all target settings for the creative from the campaign, you need to select Copy settings in the target settings:
Clear all the creative target settings
In targets settings, there is Clear all targets function. To clear all targets of the current creative, click this field
Add some target values
- It is possible to add some values in following cases:
- if the target list is empty - click the add (+) button
- if the target list is not empty: by clicking on the "...", you can add values
When you hover over any item from the target list, a menu appears where you can delete a row in the table.
Copy targets
To copy target settings, you need to go to creatives, select a client, an ad campaign and a creative.
Select Copy settings, then specify where to copy all the target settings. Copying is only possible to creatives.
After copying, users can follow the link to see the creative targeting page after copying.
Conflicts when copying targets
When copying targets from A to B, conflicts may occur. For example, when not all targets are copied.
E.g, a user has selected a client that does not have access to a specific target from creative A, then the user will see a pop-up window with a description of the error and the option to click Continue. When you click Continue, a copying will occur. As a result all targets will be copied, except for the erroneous one.
