Targeting (types)

TD has various targeting types

When configuring targets, please note that all the targets are based on user intersection principle.

Sources

MediaSniper works with various SSPs. Using this target, you can configure ad impressions for the SSP you need while specifying it in the list of available sources.

Geo: Countries

This target allows you to indicate countries your ad campaign is targeted at.
At the moment, only Russia is available in TD.

Geo: Regions and cities

This target allows you to show ads to users more precisely, depending on a specific region.
First, you need to select a country in the "Geo: Countries" target, and then you can configure a narrower geo: region and city in this country.

Operating systems

In TD you can set up targets depending on the operating system installed on the user’s device. You will see a list with various operating systems, and you should select only those for which your ad campaign is targeted, or you can exclude operating systems you do not need. The opportunity to choose an operating system allows you to run your ad campaign only for desktop traffic, or only for mobile. In such a way, you can avoid spending the budget on displaying ads to those users who are not initially interested in the product.

After clicking the Add button, the list of applications will be saved in the target settings. If an error occurs while saving the target, the list of applications won’t be saved.

Direct deals

This target allows you to specify a list of direct deals that will be used for running your ad campaign, or vice versa, exclude unnecessary deals from running.
Direct deals are identified by an alphanumeric identifier, e.g. ABC-12345-123, each ID in the list must be separated by a line break (Enter). Please note that you must specify the full deal ID, as the search will be based on a complete match. Each direct ID must contain more than one symbol.
After clicking the Add button, the list of direct deals will be saved in the target settings. If direct deal ID will contain unauthorized characters, an error (alert) “Invalid target value format” occurs.

Domains

TD supports domain targeting, which allows you to direct advertising campaign traffic to sites whose domain matches the specified settings.

This target allows you to set a list of domains for running an ad campaign.

In the field shown in the figure, add the list of required domains via Enter (line break). After clicking the Add button, the list will be saved in the target settings. We recommend adding no more than 30 domains to avoid TD overload.
